The “Yeshua in Context” Series

In 2010, we’ll be focusing on sketches of the life and times of Yeshua the Messiah. Combining recent scholarship, traditional views, an awareness of the Jewish milieu in the first century, and a belief that knowledge comes through stories, we’ll explore the gospels and other writings about Yeshua.

Who is the “real” Yeshua? Is it the “historical Jesus” of the many academic books? Is it the “Christ of faith” encapsulated in church creeds? Perhaps Yeshua, as we can know him, is something of both. And we can know him through engaging with stories, written and experienced, ancient and new.

This series is intended to be a catalyst for you to motivate you to deeply immerse yourself in the four gospels this year and to know them like a close friend.
